The Transport Dangerous Goods Directorate is the focal point for the national program to promote public safety during the transportation of dangerous goods, and Transport Canada is the agency that promotes safe and secure transportation systems across Canada. To reflect the shifting landscape of the transportation of dangerous goods in Canada, new legislation has been adopted and amendments have been made to a few existing sections.
This presentation aims to summarize recent amendments to the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act and Regulations, including the Guideline for Training Criteria, recently addded TDG safety marks and the new 30-Day Incident Report.
